wild angelica button brooch
wild angelica button brooch
Made using free motion embroidery, collaged fabric and hand stitching, this little brooch is inspired by the many umbellifer flowers that spring up in the verges and gardens around the lanes in our patch of Suffolk.
Wild angelica (Angelica sylvestris) is a robust biennial or short-lived perennial plant, known for its distinctive foliage and umbrella-like flower clusters. It's a common plant found in damp meadows, ditches, and wet woodlands. The flowers, which bloom from July to September, have a purple tinge and a fragrance similar to the garden variety of angelica used in baking.
These little circles measure 38mm in diameter and look perfect on anything, even a bag!
Hope you love it?
