old dairy studios art trail

Old Dairy Studios is showcasing an artists and craftsman’s trail over two weekends in September 2017.
Starting on Saturday 9th to Sunday 10th then continuing over a long weekend on Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th.

Entry is free and all studios will be open from 11am to 5pm

We ran this very successful trail in 2015 and 2016, this is an expanded version in terms of the number of artists to visit.

Individual approach was important in forming this group. All artists are established practitioners working in a wide range of media from printmaking, collage and painting to textiles and crafts. We have artists working with intricate techniques in cut paper, in appliqué and embroidery, expressive painting and lino-cuts. In addition, hand made drawing pens, carved wood, finely detailed watercolours and more. You’ll be able to see work in progress, ask questions about practices and buy pieces.

With a hub in Beccles, the trail spans the river Waveney from Wheatacre to the north to Brampton in the south, a total of 8 miles. Venues are in artists studios, houses and Old Dairy Studios. You’ll be able to see samples of work from all those taking part at the gallery in Beccles, pick up maps, ask questions relating to the trail and artists taking part etc. Beccles itself is a busy market town with plenty of cafés,  restaurants and pubs for refreshments. Wheatacre also has a good pub. You can cycle the trail or use public transport for Beccles and Brampton.
